Dr. Kevin B. Carter, DMD

The Smile Louisville is pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin B. Carter joined our practice October 2014.
Dr. Carter was born September 11, 1957 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and has lived in Louisville most of his life. He attended Butler High School and graduated from Doss High School in 1975. Dr. Carter subsequently earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisville. School of Arts and Science, and a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1983.
Dr. Carter has spent the previous three decades in the private practice of dentistry while recently retiring from a simultaneous 30 year career in the United States Army Reserve. Dr. Carter has been deployed overseas numerous times in support of United States military humanitarian operations in Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, and Ecuador and combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Dr. Carter has been a member of the American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, and Louisville Dental Society for over 30 years.
Dr. Carter is married to Penny Crawford Carter of Louisville. Together they’ve raised two sons, Oliver and Neil. Dr. Carter enjoys primarily outdoor activities such as cycling, running, Scuba, fly fishing, hiking the Appalachian Trail, traditional grilling, and bizarre foods.
